Ricky and Bianca to tie the knot for the second time

The sound of wedding bells could soon be heard over Walford as it has been revealed that Eastenders characters Ricky and Bianca will tie the knot for the second time.

Ricky, played by Sid Owen, will no doubt be practicing his wedding speech ahead of the big day and rumours suggest that he will pop the question to his ex-wife at Christmas.

It is thought that Bianca, played by Pasty Palmer, will don her wedding dress in February next year to coincide with the 25th anniversary of the soap.

They first tied the knot 13 years ago and 22 million people tuned in to watch the event.

Speaking to the Daily Mirror, a source said: "This will hopefully be the happy ending everyone is waiting for. We could well be looking at the greatest love story ever told. It's going to be emotional."

Choo Shoes

I've lost count of the number of Jimmy Choo's I've photographed over the years, they are the must have shoes for many of the brides I work with. Now there is a chance to buy a pair for less than £900, you might have to queue though! BBC Website

Check out your Photographer

My thoughts go out to the poor couple who commissioned the worlds worst Wedding Photographer to cover their wedding, full details and the pictures can be seen on the Sky website.

Apparently the Photographer had only covered 20 weddings. This highlights an increasing problem in the industry, there are thousands of unqualified amateur Photographers selling themselves as professional wedding Photographers every weekend. It's all too easy to steal some good pictures off the internet and knock up a website.

You can rest assured that I have hard earned qualifications, 23 years experience and huge number of very satisfied customers. If you don't book me, please ask your Photographer where he learned his trade, then look up his college and call his tutor!

Richmond London

I've just got back from Nicky and Chris's Wedding in Richmond, Putney and Barnes. Usually I come home after a wedding but this time I stopped over in Kensington and had a look round the museums on Sunday morning. I'm just editing the pics now and I've found a lovely picture of them leaving the Petersham Hotel, Richmond for the church. It wasn't set up, i just hung back and waited for Nicky to reach the right spot where there was enough light to give me a shutter speed to freeze her movement. Looking at the metadata I see that it was 1/30th at 2.8 on my Nikon D300.

Belvoir Castle

A couple of weekends ago, before the summer abruptly stopped I had the pleasure of photographing Sarah and Lee's wedding at Belvoir Castle in Leicestershire. I was lining up a shot of Sarah framed in this beautiful room, when her niece bounded in, I reckon it's much better than the shot I had in mind! Here's the one just before. What do you think, I'd love to hear your feedback?

Traditional or Reportage Wedding Photographer?

People often ask me what the difference is between 'Traditional' and 'Reportage' photography. Basically there are 2 business models in wedding photography one is the Aftermarket sales and the other is Creative Feemodel. The one you choose will determine the the sort of pictures you'll get.

The usual traditional wedding photography model is the Aftermarket salesmodel. These photographers charge an initial low fee and then rely on aftermarket sales of prints, albums, frames, slideshows etc to make their money. Obviously the lower fee draws in the business, but the downside for you the client is that this type of photographer is only interested in taking pictures that will sell. As you've probably already guessed the pictures that sell are the posed family groups and set pieces. And who can blame them, they've got a living to make so why waste time taking detail shots of shoes, flowers, venue and candid shots of guests having fun when ultimately they probably won't sell. The picture here helps tell the story, but it's of little value to the traditional wedding photographer.

The other model, Creative Fee, is the model that I use, I'm paid up front to tell the story of the day and I give the high res files to the client, so I have no thoughts about print sales. I pop the pictures on my website so friends and relatives can see the pictures and if they want buy pictures without hassling the couple. So I'm focused on photographing anything the bride and groom want, so instead of thinking about print sales I'm concentrating on telling the story of the day. I am the bride and grooms personal photographer for the day.

When I'm at a Wedding I'm a rider for Severn Freewheelers Emergency Voluntary Service motorcycles and a few weeks back I climbed into the boot of a friends car and shot some pictures of one of our bikes in action. I'm pleased to say that the beeb have done a nice story on us with the pictures
